During the experiment, participants were asked not to modify their diet or their pattern of physical activity. However, they had to consume 30 ml of apple cider vinegar twice a day (in the morning and in the evening) for eight weeks.

The conclusion was that "overall, the study indicated that consumption of apple cider vinegar may lower LDL, triglycerides and cholesterol in patients such as hyperlipidemia," the researchers wrote.

In addition, a survey conducted in Minnesota in the United States analyzed 120 people, half of whom ingested apple cider vinegar for eight days while the other half took a solution with water and 2% balsamic vinegar.

The result obtained was that consumption of one or two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar daily may raise levels of good cholesterol, which is known to have a protective effect with regard to cardiovascular health, the publication added.

How to take apple cider vinegar
